John Bradshaw’s experience makes him uniquely suited for the role of speaker/director at It Is Written. His broadcasting career began in his home country of New Zealand, where he worked as a disc jockey on a number of the nation’s top radio stations. He left this job in 1990—propelled by a desire to find Bible-based truth and a deeper Christian experience.

John met his soon-to-be-wife, Melissa, at church, and after their wedding, he began working as a full-time public evangelist. After 12 years, the family—which now included son Jacob and daughter Shannon—decided to put down roots. In the years that followed, John served as pastor of the Lexington, Kentucky, Seventh-day Adventist Church, as well as the Village Church near Walla Walla University in Washington.

In his nearly two decades of ministry, John has held more than 80 evangelistic series. For him, nothing matches the joy of introducing others to Christ. “Jesus offers complete transformation,” he said. “There’s something incredible that happens when His presence consumes a person’s life. I love that It Is Written communicates this around the world on a daily basis.”

Neal Nedley is a Physician in Internal Medicine with an emphasis in Gastroenterology, Mental Health, Lifestyle Medicine, and the difficult-to-diagnose patient.  He did his undergraduate studies at Andrews University in Michigan, majoring in Biochemistry.  He graduated from medical school in 1986 with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Loma Linda University in California, ranking in the top 10 percent of his class.  He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Kettering Medical Center at Wright State University in Ohio in 1989, and in the same year he became certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  He is owner of the Nedley Clinic in Ardmore, Oklahoma, an internal medicine practice, and is also President of Ardmore Gastroenterology Management.  He recently co-authored two peer reviewed studies: one detailing a groundbreaking approach to depression identification and the other regarding decreased usage of benzodiazepines through lifestyle based depression recovery.
Jesse Johnson is General Manager of It Is Written, joining Speaker/Director John Bradshaw and Treasurer Charles Reel to form the ministry’s administrative team. Jesse is also It Is Written’s current I.T. Director. Dr. Johnson, who holds several masters and doctorate degrees in business, education, and technology, is a businessman and entrepreneur with extensive experience in ministry leadership. He has worked with many local conferences helping them innovate their technology departments as well as the General Conference.  He has also been the President of ASI Mid-America.  Jesse is married to Nema, and they have four children — three daughters and one son, ranging in ages from 13 to 22 years-old.
Gary Thurber joined the ministry team of the Mid-America Union Conference in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 1, 2015 and serves as president.  Prior to coming to MAUC, he was executive secretary of the Lake Union Conference. Ordained in 1987, Thurber has served as a teacher, pastor, director of Youth, Camp and Family ministries, assistant to conference president, conference president, and Union executive secretary.  Elder Thurber completed his bachelor’s degree at Southern Adventist University, and earned his master’s degree in religion at Andrews University.  Gary is married to the former Diane Wynn.

  • 04/08 – 04/08

John Davidson is President of Eden Valley Institute in Loveland CO
Mark Cromwell is Executive Vice-President of ASI MidAmerica and President of Adventist United

The ASI Mid-America Rally was held at the Denver South SDA Church, Denver, Colorado, on Sabbath, April 8, 2017.  The theme of the event was “Before It’s Too Late” based on John 9:4 which states, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.”  Our guest speaker was John Davidson, President of Eden Valley Institute.  His message was based on Matthew 13:44 & 45 which described the Kingdom of Heaven like a treasure hidden in a field and also like a fine pearl of great value.  There were two separate worship services with a Sabbath School Program conducted between them.  Carol Macomber, a church member, gave a short overview of the Sabbath School Lesson on 1 Peter Chapter 1.

We were blessed with special music from Karen Phillips, ASIMA VP of Marketing, Anthony Manueke & Friends (Piano & Chorus), Kenny Orr (Violin) & Jerry Lange (Piano), and Frank Reste (Violin).

There were several Members in Action spots.  John Davidson highlighted the various activities at Eden Valley such as their Lifestyle Program, Medical Missionary Program, and their farming and community outreach.  Barbara Taylor, ASIMA President, told us about the ASI Evangelism with the New Beginnings DVDs.  She also presented information on Glow Tracts and Storyboard ministry outreach.   Mark Cromwell, ASIMA General VP, shared with us the history of Adventist United – Kansas City.  And John & Karen Phillips, ASIMA VPs, presented their HeReturns ministry which includes multi-media, publishing, health, and music ministry outreach programs.

After a fellowship potluck, Mark Cromwell, ASIMA General VP and President of Adventist United – KC, presented a seminar on how Jesus instructed his disciples and how the Spirit of Prophecy instructs us in detail how to be effective missionaries in these end times.  The presentations were entitled, “The Instructions We Are Missing,” and “The Power of the Holy Spirit.”  He encouraged the local members to take this information and share it with the other Denver church in hopes of forming an Adventist United – Denver.

We praise God for his blessings on this event.  It is always wonderful to meet together to praise the Lord, fellowship together with the saints, and share how He is working in the various ministries in ASIMA and across the globe.

ASI Mid-America 2017-03 Rally – Omaha

  • 03/03 – 03/04

His formal education in counseling, medicine, and business administration—combined with his compassionate heart and God-given people skills—helps J.D. to share scriptural encouragement and usher hurting people before the throne of the Master Physician, for the healing only God can give.

Shelley Quinn is Program Development Manager for Three Angels Broadcasting Network, where she also serves as host for a variety of teaching and interview programs. As a Christian author and Bible teacher, she travels the United States and abroad preaching the Gospel of Christ at evangelistic series, revivals, retreats, and camp meetings. Her messages have a strong focus on the transforming power of God’s Spirit and His Word, and always include practical ways to develop an intimate relationship with our Lord. Shelley has authored seven books: Exalting His Word, Life Affirmations from Scripture, The Antichrist Agenda, Ten Commandments Twice Removed, Pressing in to His Presence, The Grace Pipeline and What’s the Big Deal?.

The ASI Mid-America Rally was held at the Omaha Memorial SDA Church, Omaha, Nebraska on March 3rdand 4th, 2017.  The theme of the event was “Before It’s Too Late” based on John 9:4 which states, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.”  We were privileged to have as our guest speakers Shelley Quinn, Program Development Manager for 3ABN and her husband, J.D. Quinn, Pastoral Manager for 3ABN and elder at the Thompsonville SDA Church in Illinois.  Shelley presented three messages on Friday night, Sabbath worship, and Sabbath afternoon.  Preaching on Romans 12:1, she enlightened us on what “reasonable service” is.  Our service to Christ in these end times is “reasonable” because of all He gave to us that we should present ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God.  She stressed that we need to pray that the Holy Spirit will guide and lead us in our lives as we work for Him.  J.D. led out in a short Sabbath School discussion and also shared with us the work currently being done at 3ABN.

We were blessed with special music by Anabel Albuja of HeReturns ministries, by the Omaha Memorial Church Choir, and by Franklina Durham, a local member.

Several ministries presented Members in Action (MIA) spotlights.  These ministries included HeReturns publishing/health/multi-media outreaches, KOTA – King of the Angels Ministry, and Adventist United from the Kansas City area.  Barbara Taylor, ASIMA President shared with us her worldwide ministry of sharing New Beginnings all over the globe.  We were also blessed with an ASI video on ministries of Outpost Centers International (OCI) and the one-day church/school projects.

The Lord truly blessed our rally in Omaha.  We give Him all the glory and honor and praise for the messages that were presented.
