2014 ASI Convention
2014 ASI Mid-America Convention host a Sabbath congregation of over 1,200
The 2014 ASI Mid-America Convention was held on March 27th – 30th at the John Knox Pavilion in Lee’s Summit MO. Our speakers included Doug Batchelor, Frank Fournier and Scott Ritsema.
The Convention kicked off Thursday evening with a welcome message from ASI President Frank Fournier and ASI Mid-America President, Jesse Johnson. Scott Ritsema opened the Convention with a presentation to over 30 youth. In the main auditorium over 200 were blessed by an opening presentation by Doug Batchelor.
Friday’s session started with a two part seminar by Scott Ritsema followed by an exhibitor spotlight on four of the seventeen convention exhibitor’s occupying eighteen booth spaces. Doug Batchelor opened the evening presentation to a congregation of over 400.
Sabbath service was a blessing with presentations by Frank Fournier, Scott Ritsema and sermon by Doug Batchelor to a congregation of over 1,200. Song service was lead out by Joan Gurski, accompanied by David Fairchild on the piano. Uplifting special music performed by, Voice of One, Markeeda Scott, Rachel Harlon, Claire Erickson / Jesse Johnson and Joan Gurski.
An amazing Sabbath afternoon concert series featured performances by Midland Academy Diversity, followed by the Samoan Youth Choir and SIFA African Choir.
Sabbath vespers presentation was provided by Doug Batchelor with special music by Markeeda Scott to crowd of over 600.
And a very special thanks to our local Pathfinders for providing three delicious meals.
We congratulate the Kansas City Adventist community for being a part of the largest ASI Mid-America Convention to date. As a result we’re excited to announce that the 2015 ASI Mid-America Convention will again be held in Kansas City.
